Microsoft has released Windows 11 Insider Preview builds 28120.3002 and 28020.2991 for version 26H1 via the Beta and Experimental channels in the Windows Insider Program. These flights introduce improvements for existing features.
According to the official notes (Beta) and Experimental, Windows 11 builds 28120.3002 (Beta) and 28020.2991 (Experimental) are nearly identical, adding gamepad support to the Bluetooth quick settings page and letting users pin favorite apps in the Windows Share interface. The Experimental build also includes a known Easy Anti-Cheat issue that can prevent some games from launching.
According to Microsoft’s release notes for the Beta and Experimental channels, the September 11 updates focus on small usability improvements rather than introducing major new features to Windows 11.
The Bluetooth change is particularly useful for devices connected to a controller. The Bluetooth quick settings page can now be navigated with gamepad input, letting users manage those controls without reaching for a mouse or keyboard.
The company is also making Windows Share a little more convenient. Users can now pin their favorite apps in the Share window, making frequently used sharing destinations easier to access instead of relying on the apps Windows presents automatically.
The Experimental build has one additional concern for gamers. Microsoft says Easy Anti-Cheat may fail to launch and display error 0xc000007b. The company is looking into the problem and working on a fix.

To download and install these Windows 11 builds, enroll your Devices in the Experimental or Beta Channels through the “Windows Insider Program” settings from the “Update & Security” section. Once you enroll the computer in the program, you can download the build from the “Windows Update” settings by turning on the “Get the latest updates as soon as they’re available” option and clicking the “Check for Updates” button.
