Microsoft is now rolling out the Windows 11 Insider Preview Quality Update (26220.9606) for version 25H2 via the Beta channel in the Windows Insider Program. This update introduces several accessibility improvements and smaller operating system updates as part of the Windows K2 initiative.

According to the official notes, Windows 11 build 26220.9606 introduces a more focused Lock screen widget experience. Microsoft is making Weather the primary widget shown by default while reducing recommended widget content to create a cleaner and less distracting lock screen.

The update also gives users more control over which widgets appear on the Lock screen. Insiders can customize their preferred widgets in Settings > Personalization > Lock screen, so they can keep the information they find most useful.

Microsoft also fixed an issue with msmpeg2ac3dec.dll that caused some apps and games to crash in recent builds.
