Microsoft is making available the Windows 11 Insider Preview Quality Update (26340.9767) for version 26H2 through the Experimental channel in the Windows Insider Program. In this release, the company improves existing features, adds new ones, and includes various fixes as part of the Windows K2 initiative.
According to the official notes, Windows 11 build 26340.9767 introduces new Quick Settings features, including controls for connected mobile devices and an internet speed test that displays results directly within the desktop environment. The update also adds an option to filter Feature flags by enablement state and a setting to turn the Magnifier keyboard shortcut on or off.
Microsoft is improving integration between Windows and connected phones, making it easier to manage supported Android devices from the desktop. Users can access their phone’s battery status, enable Do Not Disturb, change the ringer mode, and play a sound to locate the device. iPhone support is more limited and focuses on displaying information.
The update also lets you test internet connection performance directly from Quick Settings, the Wi-Fi or Cellular flyout, or the Taskbar’s network icon. The test displays download speed, upload speed, and ping without requiring users to open a browser.
Other changes include an option to manage Microsoft 365 recurring billing directly from the Settings app, improved loading progress indicators in File Explorer when accessing slower locations such as network drives, and additional language support for mathematical content in Narrator. Microsoft has also updated the Widgets picker with a standard dialog frame and light and dark title bars.
Finally, build 26340.9767 fixes two issues introduced in the previous update. One prevented explorer.exe from loading after sign-in, leaving the Taskbar and other dependent elements unavailable. The other caused some Insiders to incorrectly receive a message on the sign-in screen stating that their password was wrong.
What’s new on Windows 11 build 26340.9767 (Experimental)
These are the new features and improvements rolling out in the Experimental channel:
Run internet speed tests without opening a browser
Users can now check their internet connection directly from Quick Settings, making it easier to diagnose slow connections without leaving the desktop. Start a test using the new “Speed test” option in Quick Settings, the Wi-Fi or Cellular flyout, or by right-clicking the network icon in the system tray and selecting “Test internet speed.”

The system displays the test progress and results, including download speed, upload speed, and ping, based on your active internet connection. This update builds on the internet speed test previously introduced for Insiders by bringing the entire experience directly into the operating system rather than opening Microsoft Edge and Bing.
Manage your phone from Quick Settings
Windows 11 is rolling out a new Mobile devices experience in Quick Settings, letting you control a connected phone without interrupting your workflow. Using a supported Android phone, you can check its battery status, enable Do Not Disturb, change the ringer mode, or play a sound to find it nearby. iPhone support is more limited and initially focuses on information.

To try it, open Quick Settings from the Taskbar and select Mobile devices. If your phone is already connected, you’ll see its available status and controls. Otherwise, the system will guide you through setup.
Control the Magnifier keyboard shortcut
Windows 11 now lets you enable or disable the “Windows key + Plus (+)” shortcut that launches Magnifier.
You can find the new Keyboard shortcut for the Magnifier toggle under Settings > Accessibility > Magnifier.
The shortcut remains enabled by default, but you can turn it off if Magnifier opens accidentally or the key combination conflicts with another app or keyboard layout. You can still launch Magnifier from Settings and re-enable the shortcut whenever you need it.
Manage Microsoft 365 recurring billing on Windows 11
Microsoft 365 subscribers can now turn recurring billing back on directly on Windows 11, without opening a separate webpage. If recurring billing is disabled, select “Turn on recurring billing” or “Set up recurring billing” from the Home or Accounts page in Settings, or from the Start menu.

This inline experience makes it easier to manage your subscription without leaving Windows.
Filter Feature flags by enablement state
Windows Insiders can now filter Feature flags by their enablement state on the “Windows Insider Program” settings page, making it easier to find and review flags based on whether they’re enabled or disabled.

Other fixes
Windows 11 build 26340.9767 also introduces some smaller fixes and improvements:
- File Explorer: Improved progress indicators when navigating to locations that take longer to load, such as network drives, making it easier to see when loading is underway.
- Narrator: Added math-reading support for eight languages, including Greek, Hungarian, Indonesian, Norwegian (Bokmål), Polish, Russian, Swedish, and Vietnamese.
- Widgets: Improved the Widgets picker with a standard dialog frame, support for light and dark title bars, and removed the blank space previously reserved for an icon.
- Taskbar: Fixed an issue from the previous update that prevented
explorer.exefrom loading after sign-in, leaving the taskbar and other dependent elements unavailable. - Login: Fixed an issue that incorrectly displayed a wrong-password message on the sign-in screen for some Windows Insiders.
