You can access the new Bing Chat AI from Google Chrome or Mozilla Firefox, and in this guide, you will learn how. Although the new Bing with ChatGPT (GPT-4) integration is available on virtually any platform, you are required to use Microsoft Edge on Windows 11, 10, macOS, or Linux.

However, it’s possible to access the Bing Chat AI from other modern browsers (such as Chrome or Firefox). You only need to change the “user agent” settings to trick Bing into thinking that you are using Microsoft Edge as the browser. Of course, this is only possible if you have already signed up to access the chatbot.

This guide will teach you the workaround to use the new Bing Chat AI from any browser, including Chrome and Firefox on Windows 11.

Access Bing Chat AI on Chrome

To access the new Bing with ChatGPT from Chrome, use these steps:

  1. Open Chrome.

  2. Click the “F12” key to open the DevTools interface.

Quick tip: You can also right-click on the page and select the “Inspect” option to open DevTools.
  3. Click the “Customize and control DevTools” (three-dotted) button, select the More tools menu, and choose the Network conditions option.

  4. Under the “User agent” section, clear the “Use browser default” option.

  5. Select the “Microsoft Edge (Chromium) – Windows” option to enable access to Bing Chat from Chrome.

Once you complete the steps, you should now be able to use the new Bing with ChatGPT integration from Google Chrome.

If you no longer need access to the chatbot, you can use the same instructions outlined above, but in step 4, check the “Use browser default” option.

Access Bing Chat AI on Firefox

To access Bing Chat from Firefox, use these steps:

  1. Open Firefox.

  2. Type the following command in the address bar and press Enter:

    about:config
  3. Click the “Accept the Risk and Continue” button.

  4. Search for general.useragent.override and click the String option.

  5. Click the Plus button.

    Firefox about config useragent

  6. Copy and paste the following user agent string to access Bing Chat from Firefox and click the Save button:

After you complete the steps, you can start using the new Bing Chat AI from Mozilla Firefox.

If you want to roll back the settings to the defaults, you can use the same instructions, but in step 4, click the “Delete” button to remove the String.

It’s important to note that it’s unclear whether Microsoft plans to make the new Bing AI exclusive to the Microsoft Edge browser, but at the time of this writing, it’s possible to access the Chat experience with another browser. However, it’s possible to change the “user agent” settings on the browser to access the preview of the new search experience.
