- Windows 11 build 26120.4733 (KB5062651) is a Beta Channel update for version 24H2, introducing AI-powered image descriptions, new admin protection for unsigned apps, and redesigned app permission dialogs.
- The update also includes bug fixes for the Taskbar, File Explorer, Settings, and graphics.
As part of the version 24H2 development, Windows 11 build 26120.4733 (KB5062651) is rolling out in the Beta Channel with new features, visual changes, and fixes similar to those in build 26200.5702 for version 25H2, since both versions share the same core file system.
According to the official notes, the Windows 11 update KB5062651 introduces a new “Click to Do” action that allows users to describe images using AI. Microsoft is also making available the administrator protection security feature, along with a new, updated modal design when an app requires permission.
Finally, this update includes fixes and changes for the Taskbar, File Explorer, Live Captions, Graphics, Settings, and more.
The only major difference between build 26120.4733 and 26200.5702 is that the release for version 24H2 doesn’t note that the operating system removes Windows PowerShell 2.0.
What’s new on Windows 11 24H2 (build 26120.4733)
These are the latest changes that the development team has been working on for version 24H2.
New admin protection for app elevation
Starting with build 26120.4733, Windows 11 introduces a new “Administrator protection” security feature. When enabled, this feature provides an additional security layer that prompts for authorization when an untrusted or unsigned app requires elevation to make system changes.
The interface features a yellow color scheme for applications that may be harmful to run on your computer, and a light color scheme for trusted and signed programs.

To enable the security feature, open Windows Security > Account protection, click on the “Administrator protection settings” page, turn on the “Administrator protection” toggle switch, and restart the computer.

New AI image description on Copilot+ PCs
In this flight for version 24H2, Click to Do is adding a new “Describe image” action that uses AI to generate a description of an image, chart, or graph.
The system downloads and sets up the necessary AI model when used for the first time.

The feature is now available for devices with Snapdragon processors, but support for AMD and Intel will arrive at a later date.
Redesigned app permission dialogs
The development team is also updating the design of app permission dialogs. When an app requests access to sensitive resources (such as location, camera, or microphone), the system now displays a centered modal dialog with a dimmed background to draw more attention and improve clarity.

Other bug fixes and tweaks
Furthermore, in addition to the new improvements, Windows 11 build 26120.4733 also includes several fixes and other changes.
- Windows Security: Smart App Control may automatically be enabled for Dev and Beta Insiders in evaluation mode. It can be disabled from Windows Security > App & browser control > Smart App Control.
- Taskbar: Addressed issue causing random File Explorer preview windows to appear when hovering over unrelated taskbar app icons.
- Search: Fixed a bug where the search box in the Taskbar showed animations even when animations were disabled in the Settings app.
- File Explorer: Resolved issues affecting dialog visibility, icon rendering, performance during zip extraction, launch visuals, and Windows Narrator functionality in the AI Summarize action for Microsoft 365 files
- Live Captions: Opacity changes to captions now properly reflect in Settings > Accessibility > Captions > Caption Style.
- Dynamic Lighting: Fixed issue where the Dynamic Lighting background controller consumed excessive processor resources after unlocking.
- Graphics: Addressed problem causing cursor and game content to fall out of sync when switching tasks through the “ALT + Tab” experience in fullscreen exclusive mode with mismatched resolutions.
- Settings: The app no longer crashes when opening Time & Language > Language & Region.
This flight also has some known issues regarding the Start menu, Xbox Controllers, Click to Do, Input, and Widgets.
