Microsoft is releasing Windows 11 build 29565 for version 27H2 and Windows 11 build 28020.1812 (KB5083824) for version 26H1 in the Canary channel, delivering another incremental update with new features and fixes.

According to the official changelog“Windows 11 Insider Preview Quality Update (29565)rolls out platform changes to move to a new active development. Also, it improves velocity when using the Bubbles screensaver on high-refresh-rate monitors.

Also, there’s an updated version of the Drag Tray that uses a smaller peek view to reduce accidental activation, and it’s now easier to dismiss.

Starting with build 29565, the company began rolling out the green, yellow, and red badge alerts about the current state of the Secure Boot certificates in the Windows Security app > Device security > Secure Boot.

Microsoft is rolling out Feedback Hub version 2.2604.101.0 to the Dev and Canary channels, featuring usability improvements and experience refinements.

The update improves window behavior by setting a more consistent default size and adds persistence so it remembers your preferred size across sessions. Navigation is also enhanced with support for the mouse back button, making page switching faster and easier.

The company fixed an issue in which community feedback appeared less frequently than expected, restoring the normal visibility of submissions and discussions. It also resolves a bug affecting upvote buttons for users with Chinese display language, improving consistency and accessibility.

Windows 11 build 28020.1812 (KB5083824)

As part of the Windows 11 build 28020.1812, the company rolls out general improvements and fixes to improve the overall experience.

In this release, the company is also adding a new setting in the “Touchpad” page under Settings > Bluetooth & devices, which lets you choose the size of the right-click zone, the portion at the bottom-right of the touchpad.

The new setting lets you choose between default, small, medium, and large.

Microsoft says that this setting only appears for touchpads with a pressable surface. Also, some manufacturers may provide customization for this in their own apps.

If your device is configured with a custom setting through an app, the “Custom” option will appear in the “Touchpad” settings.
