On the commitment of Microsoft releasing more games for Windows 8.1 and Windows RT 8.1, the software giant is starting to deliver with a new game called “Cold Alley”, which is an airplane simulator that promises to be a “console-quality” game. The game as with every Windows 8.1 app is available through the Windows Store, however a difference from the recently released Solitaire, Minesweeper, and Mahjong games for Windows Phone, Cold Alley isn’t free, it cost $6.99, and it doesn’t offer a free trial.
According to Windows Store description, the game features a single player campaign and “non-stop action” that will take you “back in time to experience the unwritten history of covert operations”. Players can choose from more than twelve models of airplanes. Even more you can choose from different modes like: Dogfight Missions, Survival, Free for All, Team Deathmatch, Capture the Flag, and Defend the Base, and more modes will become available in the future.
The drawback is that there is no free trial and the few reviews thus far indicates that the game isn’t ready for prime-time. One review, for example, complaint about Cold Alley failing to start and other people are saying that isn’t worth the money. So proceed with caution!
