The Settings app is the unified place in Windows 10 to manage various aspects of the operating system, but one of the missing features is the ability to create a system image backup. This features allows you to create an exact copy of everything inside the hard drive, including operating system, applications, documents, and settings.
It’s extremely important to always have a backup of your computer as part of your recovery strategy, as you’ll never know when things will go wrong. Additionally, unlike previous version of Windows, the software giant now rolls out mandatory updates for both, Windows 10 Home and Windows 10 Pro, and if there is a problem, you can always use a system image backup to recover, minimizing time and data loss.
Creating a system image backup in Windows 10 hasn’t change, it actually the process remains the same as in Windows 8.1 and Windows 7, but like in Windows 8.x the tool remains hidden.
Previously, I added a tutorial with the instructions to create a system image backup, but today I’m also adding a video tutorial to YouTube to help you in more details with the backup process.
Enjoy!
