  • You can disable the drag-to-top Snap layouts option from system settings.

Windows 11 includes an updated Snap layouts experience designed to make multitasking more intuitive. One of the features lets you drag a window to the top of the screen to reveal the Snap layouts bar, where you can drop it into a predefined layout and use Snap Assist to organize the rest of your apps.

While this visual interface can be helpful, it’s not for everyone. If you prefer using keyboard shortcuts or accessing Snap layouts from the maximize button, the drag-to-top experience may feel unnecessary or distracting.

Fortunately, Windows 11 provides an option to disable this feature.

In this guide, you’ll learn how to turn off the Snap layouts menu that appears when dragging a window to the top of the screen.
