  • The new Surface Laptop will be available on October 25, starting at $1000.

Microsoft has introduced the new Surface Laptop 5, a new version of the company’s clamshell laptop. The new device (similar to the design approach for the Surface Pro 9) retains the same look as its predecessor but with updated internals and refinements.

In this version of the laptop, the company continues to offer two 3:2 PixelSense display sizes, including 13.5 and 15-inch models. However, this time, it’s ditching the AMD and only using Intel 12th Gen processors with the Evo platform (beneficial for business customers). You can get the Surface Laptop 5 with up to 1TB of internal storage and up to 32GB of memory.

According to the company, the Surface Laptop 5 is 50 percent more powerful than the Laptop 4 and has up to 18 hours of battery life for typical usage.
