Windows 10 Creators Update download using Media Creation Tool

You can install the Windows 10 Creators Update manually now using the Media Creation Tool — Here's how to do it.

Microsoft is making the Windows 10 Creators Update available to install manually ahead of the official release. If you can’t wait until April’s Patch Tuesday to get the new version of the OS through Windows Update, it’s now possible to upgrade to version 1703 using the Media Creation Tool.

The Media Creation Tool is available for download from the Microsoft support website, and it allows you to download the installation files of the latest version of Windows 10 manually with the choice to either do an in-place upgrade or clean install of the OS (or create an ISO file).

In addition, you can use the tool to create a USB bootable media, which you can use to start your computer and install the Windows 10 Creators Update.

Alongside the Media Creation Tool, Microsoft has also made available Windows 10 version 1703 through its “Update Assistant”, which works very similar to the creation tool, but you can only do an in-place upgrade.

Microsoft plans to begin the rollout of the new update on April 11th, but remember that it’ll take months until every device gets the update. The company will be updating newer devices that have been tested to work with the Creators Update, and then the update will continue to rollout to other devices.

Once you install the Windows 10 Creators Update manually on your device using the Media Creation Tool, you’ll access the new set of features, including new 3D and Mixed reality support, Microsoft Edge enhancements, 4K gaming and Beam integration for in-game broadcast, Cortana and Start menu tweaks, and a lot more.

You can check all the new features and changes included with the Windows 10 Creators Update here.

If you’re looking to download the Windows 10 Creators Update ISO file, you can skip the Media Creation Tool using this trick.
