Microsoft has been working on a new version of the Calendar app, and it’s now available as a preview with the latest preview build of Windows 10 in the Fast ring.

The new version of Calendar features a completely redesign interface with a new top header, and you can now choose from over 30 different themes and color schemes.

The month view now includes an agenda pane, on the right side, allowing you to quickly see all the events of a particular day.

The event creation interface has also been simplified, and now instead of taking you to a new page, you’ll get a simple popup form to create new events. If you need to add more content, you always click the More details option, which also includes a new design.

In addition, the new Calendar includes a redesigned account navigation. The new version collapses the account navigation pane letting you see more events, and all your syncing calendar accounts are now represented as clickable icons on the left.

Another interesting design change is the company seems to start ditching straight for rounded corner in buttons and other elements.

If you’re running the latest preview build of Windows 10, you can try the redesigned version of Calendar by opening the app and clicking the Try the preview toggle switch from the top-right.
