Games with Gold for July 2016

Microsoft unveils four new titles that Xbox Live subscribers are getting for the month of July as part of the Games with Gold program. In July 2016, the company is making available two free games for Xbox One and two for Xbox 360 for a total of $69 worth of games.

The list of new games includes The Banner Saga 2, Tumblestone, Tom Clancy’s Rainbow Six Vegas 2, and Tron: Evolution.

All games are playable on Xbox One using the Backward Compatibility feature, and they can also be downloaded through both Xbox One and Xbox 360.

During the month of July 2016, Xbox One owners with an active Xbox Live Gold subscription can download The Banner Saga 2 ($19.99 ERP) for free. Then on July 16th through August 15th, Tumblestone ($19.99 ERP) will be available as a free download (link not yet available).

On Xbox 360, starting July 1st and until July 15th, Microsoft is making available Tom Clancy’s Rainbow Six Vegas 2 ($19.99 ERP) as free download. Finally, on July 16 and until the end of month subscribers can download TRON: Evolution ($14.99 ERP) for free.

If you’re not yet an Xbox Live Gold subscriber, you can always find good deals on 12-month membership on Amazon.

While Microsoft is no longer making Xbox 360 consoles, you can still keep your game library going with a USB hard drive with up to 2TB to save games. And if your game library is outgrowing the physical storage capacity on your Xbox One, you can refer to my previous guide on how to set up an external hard drive on your Xbox One.
