Microsoft continues to make improvements to its Bing Chat AI by including image and video search results and refinements for local queries.
In addition to incorporating the DALL-E model from OpenAI to use AI to create images, according to the announcement, the chatbot now has a new integration with the Bing search engine to surface images and videos as part of the responses.
The new feature will appear “as answer cards below your chat answers, and you can click “See more” if you want to explore further in Bing image search.”
The company also says it’s improving “grounding for local-related queries.” The update means that the Bing Chat will now suggest better responses to find a parking space, a store, or an office near you.
Furthermore, the development team addressed a few issues with the chatbot integration with the Microsoft Edge browser. For example, the Chat sidebar now includes various context enhancements to improve summarization for larger pages and documents.
On Microsoft Edge, you can now use the Bing Image Creator from the sidebar as long as you use the “Creative” mode. The sidebar loads faster and prevents a blank screen at the first launch, and the experience will no longer reset when leaving chat open for a long time in the browser.
The company has also recently increased the chat limit to 20 questions per session, and you can now create up to 200 sessions per day.
