Microsoft has released the Out-of-band (OOB) update KB5121767 as builds 26200.8894 and 26100.8894 for Windows 11 25H2 and 24H2 to address a bug that caused performance issues on Dell computers introduced with the July 2026 update.
On July 14, 2026, Microsoft began rolling out the seventh Patch Tuesday of 2026 for versions 25H2 and 24H2 with a slew of fixes and several new features, including improvements for existing features. However, shortly after the update KB5101650 was made available, the company blocked the update for certain Dell devices with the Intel Innovation Platform Framework (Intel IPF) driver, which could experience performance issues, increased power consumption, and system behavior issues.
Starting on July 18, the company made available the July 18, 2026—KB5121767 (OS Builds 26200.8894 and 26100.8894) Out-of-band
update for versions 25H2 and 24H2, which includes a fix for these problems.
