Microsoft is releasing the Windows 11 Insider Preview Quality Update (26340.9482) for version 26H2 through the Experimental experience in the Windows Insider Program. This update wave introduces improvements to existing features, along with various fixes, as part of the Windows K2 initiative.
According to the official notes, Windows 11 build 26340.9482 expands Memory Integrity protection to more compatible devices and improves the context menu, File Explorer search, Taskbar IME icon, screen capture indicator, Temporary files page, mouse cursor and desktop background customization, and brightness controls.

Memory Integrity expands to more devices
Memory Integrity protection is expanding automatically to more eligible devices. Windows 11 may now enable Memory Integrity (HVCI) during updates on supported hardware to improve security and prepare devices for advanced Windows security features, while still respecting existing user or network administrator choices.
Context menu with more control
Microsoft is giving users more control over the context menu. A new tip may appear the first time to explain the customization options, while the new context menu settings now let you turn off the Customize entry.
The company also fixed several small issues that could prevent the “Send To” option from working as expected.
File Explorer search gets faster
Searches from This PC in File Explorer are now indexer-based, making them much faster and more consistent with searches from the Home page.
Taskbar icon scaling gets a fix
The IME icon now scales more cleanly on the Taskbar when you use small Taskbar icons, so it fits the reduced size better.
Screen capture gets a clearer indicator
Microsoft is changing the screen capture indicator from a yellow border to red, making it easier to spot when an active screen capture session is running.
Settings get a few fixes
The “Temporary files” page under Settings > System > Storage gets small visual improvements, while Microsoft also fixes issues that could prevent mouse cursor customization from working correctly or cause desktop background changes not to persist after a reboot.
Brightness issues get a fix
Microsoft fixed an underlying issue that caused some users to experience brightness problems after recent flights, including brightness settings unexpectedly appearing grayed out.
