Download Firefox 6 final version via FTP

Download Firefox 6 final version

If you are a Firefox user, you may have heard that the official release of version 6 is on August 16th, but apparently last night Firefox 6 final made it to the Mozilla’s FTP servers and it is already available for download for Windows, Linux and Mac operating systems.

In this new version you won’t see any different user interfaces chances, but you will see that it will run faster, up to 20%.

Keep in mind that downloading it today from the FTP servers, the welcome page will continue describing this version of Firefox as if it was version 6.0 beta; this may not change until the official release date.

If you want to make sure that you are running the final version, click the Firefox orange button, navigate to Help and click About Firefox. You will see that now says: “You are currently on the release update channel.” instead of “You are currently on the release beta update channel.”
