UPDATED 3/27/2024: On March 12, Microsoft is rolling out the update KB5035853 for Windows 11 23H2 and version 22H2 as the third Patch Tuesday update of 2024, with changes and several fixes and improvements.

The update KB5035853 bumps the version number to build 22631.3296 for version 23H2 and 22621.3296 for version 22H2. According to the official announcement, this package replaces the preview update KB5034848, which the company made available on February 29, 2024.

Some of these improvements include the addition of the new “Mobile Devices” page in the “Bluetooth & devices” section. When you configure this feature, you can connect your Android and set it up to receive notifications for new photos and screenshots, which you can then edit with the Snipping Tool app.

The March 2024 update also rolls out support for USB4 version 2, which introduces transfer speeds of up to 80Gbps (40Gpbs per lane with two lanes in each direction) through the now standard USB-Type C connector. This connector uses a new physical layer architecture based on PAM3 signal encoding and newly defined 80Gbps active cables.

As for the fixes, the builds 22631.3296 and 22621.3296 fix a problem where the Get Help app will fail the troubleshooting process. It fixes a problem with the Remote Desktop Web Authentication and error code 0x800F0922 for devices trying to install the February 2024 update.

Also, this release addresses issues with games installed on secondary drives, printers, the home page for the Settings app, networking, power, and more.

Microsoft is rolling out update KB5035854 for Windows 11 21H2. This update also fixes troubleshooting process problems using the Get Help app and the Remote Desktop Web Authentication issue available for versions 23H2 and 22H2.
