The Microsoft Family Safety app is now available for download on Android and iOS devices. The app has been designed for family members to keep track of each other and help parents to enforce healthy online habits for young members.

The Family Safety app allows members to share their locations, check driving habits, and manage screen time for apps, games, and devices, including on Windows 10, Xbox, and Android with the ability for kids to request more time.

Microsoft is also offering web and search filters to allow kids to browse appropriate only site and block all the rest. The internet filters work using Microsoft Edge on Windows 10, Xbox, and Android, but in the future, the feature will arrive to iOS devices.

The app also works as a locator, letting you see when a family member leaves the home, work, or school. Furthermore, the company is planning to offer driving reports, which is a feature that has been designed to allow parents track young-adult drivers.

Family Safety is available free for anyone with a Microsoft account, but you’ll need a Microsoft 365 subscription to access certain features, such as notifications for when family members arrive or leave a location (coming soon), driving safety feature (coming soon), and others.

It’s unclear when the new driving safety feature will be available, but initially, it’ll be available in the United States, Canada, United Kingdom, and Australia.

You can download the Microsoft Family Safety app from the Google Play Store and Apple App Store.
