Windows 10 update KB5001396 releases for version 1909 (preview)

Microsoft ships a preview of the next update for Windows 10 version 1909 with the "news and interests" taskbar widget integration.

Microsoft has released the update KB5001396 for devices running Windows 10 version 1909 as an optional update. This preview is part of the April 2021 “D” rollout, and it is an update with the non-security fixes and improvement expected to arrive in the next Patch Tuesday update.

The update KB5001396 bumps the version number to build 18363.1533, and it ships with the “news and interests” taskbar widget to give you access to a new dynamic feed with content, such as weather, news, sports, and more.

Windows 10 build 18363.1533 also fixes blank tiles in the Start menu, stop error when deleting file or folder in OneDrive, and adds an option to adjust the idle for headsets for Windows Mixed Reality.

As a reminder, Windows 10 version 1909 will reach its support cycle on May 11, 2021, which means you should consider upgrading to version 20H2 as soon as possible to keep the device supported.
