The latest Insider preview for Windows 10 version 1803 (build 17025) brings improved settings, fonts, Fluent Design — Here's what you need to know.

Microsoft is now pushing out Windows 10 build 17025 for PCs enrolled in the Fast ring and to those who opted to use the Skip Ahead option. In this release, which is part of version 1803 (Redstone 4) due next year, includes a number of small features, tweaks, and improvements.

Windows 10 build 17025, according to the company, makes the Settings app easier to use and adds new improvements to control apps on startup. You’ll see more Fluent Design changes, and Microsoft is also improving the Yahei Font for Chinese users with better the legibility, symmetry, and appearance.

Alongside the new features, this new Redstone 4 update includes a number of improvements, fixes, and known issues you may want to know before installing.

Ease of access

In this flight, the Settings app adds new Easy of Access settings to makes the device easier to use depending on your requirements.

The settings are now divided into groups to help you see, hear, and interact with settings more quickly. Microsoft also notes that the setting descriptions have been improved to make it easier to understand.

Startup tasks

Recently, Windows 10 introduced the ability to control startup apps using the Settings app, instead of using the Task Manager. In build 17025, updates the Advanced options page for apps on Settings > Apps > Apps & features to allow you to specify which tasks from an app can run on startup.

Microsoft Yahei Font

Microsoft Yahei is the font used to display Windows UI text in the Chinese (Simplified) language, and in Windows 10 build 17025, the font is getting updated to improve the legibility, symmetry and appearance.

Microsoft Fluent Design System

In build 17025, you’ll notice that Windows 10 soften the light press effect based on your feedback, and enables Reveal by default in CalendarView (Clock and Calendar flyout).

Although there are no ISO files for Windows 10 build 17025, the update is available immediately through the Fast ring for PCs and using the Skip Ahead option. This preview build will download and install automatically on your device, but you can always force the update from Settings > Update & security > Windows Update and clicking the Check for updates button.
