As we get closer to the final release of the Spring Creators Update, Microsoft is rolling out Windows 10 build 17127 for PCs enrolled in the Fast ring. This a minor update part of the Redstone 4 development that includes several improvements and fixes.
Windows 10 Insider Preview build 17127, according to the company delivers a few changes in the Cortana experience, several fixes, and this preview doesn’t contain any known issues.
What’s new with Windows 10 build 17127
Here are all the changes Microsoft is rolling out with this new Redstone 4 preview:
Cortana
Starting with build 17127, Cortana is getting a new profile that allows you to add and edit favorite places. The places you add will be used to give you traffic updates, and let you easily set reminders when you arrive or leave your location.
The Cortana’s Notebook is now available in more countries, including United States, United Kingdom, Germany, Australia, Canada, India, Spain, China, Mexico, France, Italy, Japan, and Brazil, and in more languages, and there are various performance improvements.
Even further, “Default Skills” in Cortana’s Notebook now come with a set of tips for questions you can ask Cortana to get you started — either click the suggestion, type it out yourself, or just talk to Cortana and it’ll pull up the information you requested.
Windows 10 Spring Creators Update is nearly complete
Remember that we’re not seeing new features or big changes, because at this point everything expected to arrive with the Windows 10 Spring Creators Update is already coded into the latest pre-release. We’ll continue to see minor updates like build 17127, but they’ll only contain fixes to prepare Windows for its final release in April.
Unfortunately, although the Redstone 4 is getting close to get finalized, Microsoft still isn’t sharing the exact release date or confirm the official name. Downloading Windows 10 build 17127
Although there are no ISO files for Windows 10 build 17127, the update is available immediately through the Fast ring for PCs. This preview build will download and install automatically on your device, but you can always force the update from Settings > Update & security > Windows Update and clicking the Check for updates button.
