Windows 11 25H2 and Windows 11 24H2 share the same core file system, meaning they’re the same operating system. As a result, if you have a computer running version 24H2, you don’t have to perform an in-place upgrade or clean installation. In this case, you only need to install the enablement package to switch the version to 25H2.
How to use the ISO files
The installation process of the MSU file is straightforward. You only need to double-click the file and follow the on-screen instructions.
On the other hand, if you have a computer running Windows 11 23H2 or another older version, including Windows 10, you can download the ISO file to perform an upgrade or a fresh installation of version 25H2.
If you’re downloading the ISO file, you can mount the image in File Explorer to launch the setup, or use third-party tools like Rufus to create a bootable USB drive.
Also, since both versions of the operating system are identical, Windows 11 25H2 doesn’t introduce any new features. However, this comprehensive guide covers all recent features and changes introduced in versions 24H2 and 25H2.
