Windows 10 update KB4503293 (build 18362.175) releases

Windows 10 version 1903 and older versions receive new updates to address a number of problems, and here's all you need to know.

As part of the June 2019 Patch Tuesday, Microsoft is making available update KB4503293 for devices running Windows 10 version 1903, May 2019 Update, to address a few issues.

KB4503293 bumps the version number to build 18362.175, and according to the company, fixes a security vulnerability with Bluetooth devices and various other components, such as Windows Virtualization, Microsoft Scripting Engine, and more.

Alongside the patch for the May 2019 Update, Microsoft is also releasing updates for Windows 10 version 1809, 1803, 1709, 1703, 1607, and initial version.

Update KB4503293 for Windows 10 version 1903

Microsoft has announced KB4503293 in the Windows support site, and it’s referred as “June 11, 2019—KB4503293 (OS Build 18362.175)” If you’re already running the Windows 10 May 2019 Update on your device, this update will address these problems:

  • Addresses a security vulnerability by intentionally preventing connections between Windows and Bluetooth devices that are not secure and use well-known keys to encrypt connections, including security fobs.
  • Security updates to Windows Virtualization, Microsoft Scripting Engine, Internet Explorer, Windows App Platform and Frameworks, Windows Input and Composition, Windows Media, Windows Shell, Windows Server, Windows Authentication, Windows Cryptography, Windows Storage and Filesystems, Windows SQL Components, the Microsoft JET Database Engine, and Internet Information Services.

Update KB4503327 for Windows 10 version 1809

Also, Microsoft has announced KB4503327 in the Windows support site, and it’s referred as “June 11, 2019—KB4503327 (OS Build 17763.557)” If you’re already running the Windows 10 October 2019 Update on your device, this update will address these problems:

  • Addresses an issue that may prevent the Windows Mixed Reality keyboard from rendering correctly in some applications.
  • Addresses a security vulnerability by intentionally preventing connections between Windows and Bluetooth devices that are not secure and use well-known keys to encrypt connections, including security fobs.
  • Addresses an issue that may prevent the Preboot Execution Environment (PXE) from starting a device from a Windows Deployment Services (WDS) server configured to use Variable Window Extension.
  • Adds updated Broadcom Wi-Fi firmware to Microsoft HoloLens.
  • Addresses an issue that may prevent Internet Explorer 11 from opening if the Default Search Provider is not set or is malformed.
  • Security updates to Microsoft Scripting Engine, Internet Explorer, Microsoft Edge, Windows App Platform and Frameworks, Windows Input and Composition, Windows Media, Windows Shell, Windows Server, Windows Authentication, Windows Cryptography, Windows Datacenter Networking, Windows Storage and Filesystems, Windows SQL components, the Microsoft JET Database Engine, Windows Virtualization, Windows Kernel, and Internet Information Services.

Update KB4503286 for Windows 10 version 1803

The April 2018 Update (version 1803) is getting update KB4503286, and the Windows support site referred it as “June 11, 2019—KB4503286 (OS Build 17134.829)”. If you’re already running version 1803 on your PC, this update will address these issues:

  • Addresses a security vulnerability by intentionally preventing connections between Windows and Bluetooth devices that are not secure and use well-known keys to encrypt connections, including security fobs.
  • Addresses an issue that may prevent the Preboot Execution Environment (PXE) from starting a device from a Windows Deployment Services (WDS) server configured to use Variable Window Extension.
  • Addresses an issue that may prevent Internet Explorer 11 from opening if the Default Search Provider is not set or is malformed.
  • Security updates to Microsoft Scripting Engine, Internet Explorer, Microsoft Edge, Windows App Platform and Frameworks, Windows App Platform and Frameworks, Windows Input and Composition, Windows Media, Windows Shell, Windows Server, Windows Authentication, Windows Cryptography, Windows Storage and Filesystems, Windows Virtualization, Internet Information Services Windows SQL components, and the Microsoft JET Database Engine.

Update for older versions of Windows 10

Although the version 1709 (Fall Creators Update) is no longer supported, organizations running the Enterprise or Education edition of Windows 10 are getting update KB4503284, which addresses a few problems and bumps up the version number to 16299.1217.

Windows 10 version 1703 (Creators Update) is no longer supported either, but organizations with devices still running this release can now download and install KB4503279, which fixes several issues and bumps the version number to build 15063.1868.

In addition, the Windows 10 Anniversary Update, version 1697, is getting update KB4503267 to address some problems with the no longer supported operating system bumping the version number to build 14393.3025.

Finally, the original release of Windows 10 is getting update KB4503291 bumping the version number to 10240.18244 to address several issues.
