The November 2020 Patch Tuesday is now rolling out for devices running Windows 10 20H2 and version 2004 as update KB4586781. This update represents the first official monthly update for the October 2020 Update and the quality update number 11 for the May 2020 Update, and it’s a small update that patches a couple problems with two most recent releases of the operating system.
The update KB4586781 bumps the version number to build 19041.630 and build 19042.630 for version 2004 and 20H2 respectively, and it fixes security problems with various components, including Microsoft Scripting Engine, Windows Input and Composition, and the Windows Kernel.
In addition, as part of the November update rollout, the company is also pushing updates for version 1909, 1903, 1809, 1803, 1703, 1607, and 1507.

Update KB4586781 for Windows 10 20H2 and 2004
Microsoft has announced the KB4586781 update in the Windows support site, and if you’re already running the Windows 10 October 2020 Update or May 2020 Update, this update will address these problems:
- Updates the 2020 DST start date for the Fiji Islands to December 20, 2020.
- Security updates to the Microsoft Scripting Engine, Windows Input and Composition, Microsoft Graphics Component, the Windows Wallet Service, Windows Fundamentals, and the Windows Kernel.
You can download the updates to install them manually for version 20H2 or 2004 from the Microsoft Update Catalog website.
Update KB4586786 for Windows 10 version 1909 and 1903
Microsoft has announced the KB4586786 update in the Windows support site. If you’re already running the Windows 10 November 2019 Update or May 2019 Update on your computer, this quality update will increase the version number to build 18362.1198 and build 18363.1198, and they will fix these issues:
- Updates the 2020 DST start date for the Fiji Islands to December 20, 2020.
- Addresses an issue with the package frame launcher (PSF) that passes a malformed parameter to a shim.
- Security updates to the Microsoft Scripting Engine, the Microsoft Graphics Component, Windows Input and Composition, the Windows Wallet Service, Windows Fundamentals, and the Windows Kernel.
The updates available for download through the Microsoft Update Catalog website. Also, if you are still using version 1903, Microsoft will soon update your device to version 1909 automatically.
Update KB4586793 for Windows 10 version 1809
The company is also announcing the update KB4586793 through its Windows support site, and if you’re already running the October 2019 Update, this quality update increase the build number to 17763.1577, and it’ll address these problems:
- Updates the 2020 DST start date for the Fiji Islands to December 20, 2020.
- Security updates to the Microsoft Scripting Engine, Microsoft Graphics Component, Windows Input and Composition, the Windows Wallet Service, Windows Fundamentals, and the Windows Kernel.
Update for older versions of Windows 10
The April 2018 Update (version 1803) has reached the end of support on November 12, 2019, but the company has released update KB4586785 to address problems while bumping the version number to build 17134.1845.
In addition, Microsoft has ended support for Windows 10 version 1703 (Creators Update), but organizations with computers still running this release can now download KB4586782, which resolves similar issues as those available for releases mentioned above. Also, the update bumps the version number to build 15063.2554.
Windows 10 Anniversary Update (version 1607) is getting the update KB4586830 to fix a slew of issues, even though the operating system is no longer supported, and the quality update bumps the version number to build 14393.4046.
Finally, the original release of Windows 10 (version 1507) is getting update KB4586787. The release increases the version number to 10240.18756 and fixes several problems.
