Microsoft pushes an out-of-band update to fix the unwanted redirect problem when trying to install or start an Xbox Game Pass game on Windows 10.

Outside the regular schedule, Microsoft is now making available the update KB5004476 as an optional update for Windows 10 21H1, 20H2, and 2004. The update is minor, and it only includes one fix.

According to the documentation, the update KB5004476 fixes a problem in which attempting to install or open an Xbox Game Pass game on Windows 10 redirects you to the Microsoft Store. Additionally, you receive error 0x80073D26 or 0x8007139F.

If you are experiencing this issue, you can get this patch from Settings > Update & Security >Windows Update, clicking the Check for updates button, and clicking the Download and install option under the “Optional quality update available” section.

You can also download the standalone version of the update from the Microsoft Update Catalog website.

After installing the update, the version number will bump to build 19041.1055, 19042.1055, and 19043.1055 for versions 2004, 20H2, and 21H1.
